Held under guard of sacred Pyramid Rock, the 4th Annual 3D Marines Bodysurfing Championships will be held January 9 - 10, 2010 at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. The event is open to the public, however, participation is limited.

Monies from this event will be used by 3D Marines, the sponsoring Command, to benefit the families of our fallen and injured heroes and their families.
The 3D Marines Pyramid Rock Bodysurfing Championship is officially sanctioned by the Hawaii State Bodysurfing Association, and will judge competitors in the following divisions: Men – 18 & Under, 19-25, 26-34, 35-49, 50+ and Women – Open.
Judges will score participants based upon the following criteria: Wave Height, Wave Length, Maneuvers, Tube Time, 10 Waves Max and Scoring on the top 3 waves.
There will be a mandatory safety meeting at 7:45 a.m. on the first day of the event.
The holding period for this event will be the best two weekend days from Saturday, 9 January 2010 through Sunday, 14 February 2010.
Base Rules: Participants may need to register vehicles at the MCBH Front Gate (H3 entrance). Drivers may be required to present Driver’s License, vehicle registration, safety check and proof of insurance. Please obey all posted speed limits, and follow guidance, especially when crossing the airfield.
Driving Instructions: Enter MCB

through the H3 Front Gate. Go straight to the 2nd stoplight. Take a left onto
Mokapu Rd.
Go straight, crossing the flightline. Cross the flightline obeying speed limits and signage. Continue on
Mokapu Rd.
until you reach the
Pyramid
Rock
Beach
parking lot on your right.
Runway Guidelines: Authorized runway crossing is at
Mokapu Road
only. Vehicles must comply with road gates and will not stop on, or deviate from
Mokapu Road
between gates. Pedestrians and joggers are prohibited from crossing the runway at any time; vehicle traffic only.
