Counseling Services provide a variety
of programs and services to military members and their families
to enhance life skills and improve their quality of life. This
mission is accomplished through a variety of seminars, workshops,
treatment groups, counseling, and interventions services. Individual,
marital and family counseling, provided by licensed professionals,
is available by appointment. In addition to counseling services,
the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is dedicated to the prevention,
education, reporting, intervention and treatment of domestic violence.

Family Advocacy Program (FAP)
In addition to Counseling Services, the Family Advocacy Program is dedicated to the prevention, education, reporting, intervention and treatment of domestic violence.
Our Family Advocacy Program has a highly-qualified, licensed clinical staff, trained in family violence and are available to provide counseling services at your request.
Family Advocacy professionals are also available to assist commanders and other leaders with various trainings, briefings, and workshops to aid in domestic violence prevention.
The MCBH Family Advocacy Program currently has numerous materials available for commanders, individuals and families including videos, reading materials and more.

Groups, Classes & Workshops
Cage the Rage: Anger Management Class
All of us suffer from stress at some level. the Cage the Rage series teaches how to effectively manage stress and understand and control anger. Classes are ongoing, with six sessions in each series. You can start anytime. Orientation is required prior to your first class.

Marriage Skills Workshop
Presented every month, this couples workshop explains the fundamentals of being a successful military family. Subjects include couples communication, budgeting and finances, where to find helpful resources and much more. Spouses and fiances are highly encouraged to attend.

Building Healthy Relationships
This eight-session, psycho-educational group develops knowledge in self-awareness, assertiveness, communication, listening, stress management, conflict resolution and more. Open to all active duty members and spouses, each session targets a different subject.

Prevention & Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP)
PREP is a one-day couples communication and problem-solving workshop offered at the MCBH Chapel. Participating couples receive a copy of the book "Fighting for Your Marriage," two PREP one-day notes for couples, and a magnetic speaker/listener technique floor tile. Materials and lunch are provided at no cost.

Chaplain's Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO)
CREDO offers Personal Growth Retreats and Marital Enrichment Retreats. With one of the most beautiful oceanfront locations on the windward side of Oahu, the CREDO facility offers patrons a place to relax and get away from the stresses of everyday life. CREDO weekends are available to all active duty, military spouses, Reservists, Retirees, and DoD civilian employees, and their dependents.
