use by anyone living or working on base. Base Facilities’ energy managers will feature a display showing conservation tips and alternative energy resources. The Recycling Can Elephant will be a
fun way to teach children about the rewards of recycling!
Drive Gently with a Hybrid
Your drive around town could be gentler to the environment with a new Hybrid vehicle. Operating on gasoline and electricity, they are touted as being highly fuel efficient, produce lower emissions, and are seen as the new cool wheels on the road. Add to that a potential tax incentive just for owning one and you might be convinced to learn more about them. Here's
your chance.
Hawaii's latest 2009 and 2010 hybrid models will be on display at the Earth Day Expo with dealership representatives from all parts of Oahu on hand to answer questions. Come out and smell the leather, admire the clean lines, and get the real scoop on driving green while saving green at the pump.
