Marine Corps Family Team Building

The mission of Marine Corps Family Team Building program is to enhance Marine Corps family readiness, to prepare our families to successfully meet the challenges of the military lifestyle and enhance mission readiness.

Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) synchronizes five family readiness programs: Key Volunteer Network (KVN); Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge & Skills (L.I.N.K.S.); Chaplain's Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO); Prevention & Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP); and Spouses' Learning Series (SLS). This department ensures that Commanders and program volunteers receive necessary resources and support to facilitate family readiness.

Key Volunteer Network

The Key Volunteer Network is an integral part of the commander's official family readiness program and is the primary communication link between the Commanding Officer and unit families for the enhancement of mission readiness.

The Network enables the unit to achieve a higher state of "family readiness" which in turn supports unit readiness. With families functioning in a higher state of family readiness, individual Marines are better able to perform their assigned missions more efficiently and safely.

L.I.N.K.S.
The Spouse's LINK
to the Corps

Let Lifestyle Insights, Networking, Knowledge, & Skills (L.I.N.K.S.) be one way to welcome you to the unique, sometimes challenging, and very rewarding Military Lifestyle. As with any new lifestyle, many aspects in your everyday world will be very different from what you are used to. Join the many spouses who have "been down this road" and are excited to pass along their valuable experiences during the next session of L.I.N.K.S. Meet new friends and make the most of your family's military tour. One two-day session will explain a little bit about military history and tradition, how to cope with a "PCS" (permanent change of station) move, and how to find and make use of the resources the base offers to families. To sign up for a session, call 808-257-2368 for more information.
